This section of the ActivityWorkshop attempts to offer some ways in which you can support the website and its development, including some products which you can choose to purchase, some ways to donate, and possible ways to make projects together.
Feedback is very welcome on all these projects, especially the proposals - it would be great to be able to estimate the potential demand for these, to determine whether they have an audience or not.
This is perhaps the best way to help support the website, as you get something useful in return. There are a few products to choose from, both digital and physical.
GpsPrune is a java application for viewing, editing and converting coordinate data from GPS systems. The software is free and anyone can use it without obligation. However, those who wish to can purchase an electronic copy of the user guide so that they can get the best out of the software. This user guide has gone through several revisions as the software has been upgraded and extended, the user guide is available for purchase and is being actively maintained. And a bonus — buy one version, get the next one free! pdf epub
CafePress prints my designs on real products (like T-shirts, mugs, bags and so on), and you can buy the results from them. Some examples are shown here:
Maybe you don't need a new T-shirt right now but would like to somehow donate some money anyway? One way is to follow the instructions to buy a GpsPrune user guide and then just don't use the guide. Another way is shown with this bright yellow button with which you can buy me a coffee!.
Following the "proof of concept" demonstrated by the GpsPrune user guide, this now opens the door to possible future writing projects. There are a few ideas along these lines at the books page.
For any kind of custom software projects, see the ideas at software commissions.
